Position Summary:

To assist the Director with the maintenance and operations of the electrical equipment for Harristown/HPS and its affiliate properties.  A knowledge of buildings’ electrical equipment and locations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Primary Functions:

60% Assists the Director with the maintenance and operations of all electrical systems responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • ·         Respond to tenant requests throughout the facilities to make necessary electrical repairs in a timely and courteous manner
  •           Performs preventive maintenance on and tests all electrical systems, sub-systems and equipment including dissembling, replacing, cleaning, and repair
  • ·         Repair, maintain and trouble shoot electrical equipment in accordance with wiring diagrams, schematics, operational manuals, and manufacturers maintenance                 instructions using test equipment such as volt meters, amp probes, hand and power tools required to perform the functions of the position
  • ·         Maintain light fixtures throughout all owned and managed properties; Make necessary repairs and replacements to lighting fixtures on a routine basis
  • ·         Preventative Maintenance

  • ·         Maintain adequate inventory of parts, tools, and supplies


20% Participate in tenant space fit outs and space remodels including all electrical components


5% Data Gathering (Monthly electrical readings)


5% Provide support to other departments


10% Miscellaneous paperwork – ordering parts and materials

Perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, kneeling, and walking significant distances. Ability to stand, walk and continuously perform essential job functions for the duration of the work shift the ability to climb stairs, ladders and scaffolding or use a manlift to work at heights up to 30 feet often reaching above head. Ability to perform duties in confined spaces. Ability to grasp, lift and or carry equipment or materials in excess of 50lbs.

Qualifications Requirements:


High School Diploma or GED equivalency required


5 to 10 years’ experience in electrical trade

   Licenses or Certificates:

Journeyman Electrician License preferred Harrisburg City License

Current driver’s license, Basic computer skills
