UPMC and Strawberry Square Celebrate New Stage and ClockBox

A ribbon-cutting was held in the atrium of Strawberry Square on Thursday, June 27, 2024 to celebrate the grand opening of the UPMC ClockBox and the UPMC Stage at Strawberry Square.

The new and expanded stage, a project of the Strawberry Square Development Corporation, replaces the stage that had been in place for more than 30 years. The ClockBox is a new, second-floor, cantilevered conference and meeting room overlooking the atrium, replacing the former Chocablock Clock auto-kinetic ball machine that graced the atrium since 1989.

“The new stage and sound system have been designed to accommodate larger groups and more activities in Strawberry Square, as the usage of the atrium space has changed over time,” said Brad Jones, President of Harristown Enterprises, Inc. “We’ve been thrilled to see how much use the stage has already gotten and look forward to hosting many additional performances and events in this dynamic space.”

UPMC, as the sponsor of both the stage and the ClockBox for the next five years, has the opportunity to showcase and expand their brand in Strawberry Square. “We are proud to partner with Strawberry Square to support these wonderful spaces and the many activities they will host,” said Elizabeth Ritter, president, UPMC Harrisburg.

The ClockBox is available for lease. For more information contact Brad Jones at (717) 255-1041 or Amber Depew at (717) 460-6699.
