Boneshire Brew Works Bringing Taps to Sip@SoMa

Dauphin County based craft brewer, Boneshire Brew Works has inked a deal with HBG Realty (an affiliate of Harristown) to open a permanent tasting room in Harrisburg’s SoMa neighborhood by Spring 2021. Moving into the Sip@SoMa space originally opened by Harristown in early 2019 at 13 S. 3rd Street, the brewery will feature its tap list to the public in a cozy, intimate setting in this fast expanding downtown neighborhood.
Brad Jones, Harristown President & CEO, is very excited about the agreement. “Our original plan to create a downtown tasting room destination was launched in 2019 with Sip@SoMa. Having a dynamic local craft brewer like Boneshire take over the space is exactly what we’re looking for in the neighborhood! Over the past 20 years, Harristown has leveraged more than $25 million of reinvestment in the historic SoMa neighborhood, preserving and renovating historic properties, creating new and inviting living spaces and offering unique boutique and small business retail opportunities.
We love the feel and vibe of the SoMa area in Harrisburg and we have been involved in the SoMa block party events since day one and are excited to have a permanent presence in the neighborhood,” noted majority owner Alan Miller. “We are a small brewery that focuses on providing an opportunity for community gathering and we think Boneshire and SoMa are a perfect fit.
Sip@SoMa is outfitted with a modern look and feel and features a 12-tap system and up to 25 seats. The limited capacity provides an opportunity for an intimate setting, allowing both Boneshire and its customers to have a unique, engaging experience. Boneshire has offered their craft beers for a number of years at local festivals and opened their original tasting room in 2016 on Derry Street, between Harrisburg and Hershey. The SoMa location will be operated in addition to their existing location.
