The Pennsylvania Association for the Education of Young Children (PennAEYC), a membership-based advocacy organization of early care and education professionals has relocated their Pennsylvania headquarters to a 2,800 square foot, fourth-floor office in the Lerner Tower at Strawberry Square. PennAEYC previously had offices in the Harrisburg Transportation Center (Train Station).
Executive Director Jen DeBell shared her enthusiasm: “PennAEYC is excited to move to Strawberry Square. Our new space improves our capacity as our organization grows and positions us for continued success in our work on behalf of children, families and early childhood professionals.”
“We’re thrilled to have PennAEYC as our neighbors here in Strawberry Square. This location, even closer to the Capitol, will allow them to concentrate on what they do best – advocate for kids and the professionals who care for them,” said Brad Jones, President and CEO of Harristown, owner of Strawberry Square.
Strawberry Square continues to thrive and reinvent itself by pivoting to take advantage of the upsurge in educational opportunities in the downtown, including Best Friends Daycare, Capital Area School for the Arts, Harrisburg University, Temple University Harrisburg, and the UPMC School of Nursing at Harrisburg University.
