Mount Everest Nepali and Indian Cuisine will open a new restaurant in Strawberry Square, located at 19 North 3rd Street, with entrances along 3rd Street and inside the Square. Formerly occupied by Fresa Bistro, the 2,200 square-foot space will be home to innovative Nepalese and Indian cuisine.
Owners Shree Paija and Sarita Lama look forward to opening this second restaurant in addition to their original location, KHana, in Hershey. “I’m really happy to get this space,” said Paija. “There is no Indian food available in downtown Harrisburg, and folks need an Indian/Nepalese food option.”
Brad Jones, President & CEO of Harristown Development Corporation (owner of Strawberry Square) also expressed his enthusiasm for the new enterprise. “Strawberry Square and the Shops on 3rd are a center of activity, and Mount Everest will bring back a popular Indian dining choice, adding to our already robust collection of food options.”
Once minor interior alterations are complete, the restaurant is expected to begin service in November, followed by a ribbon-cutting and grand opening event.
